Raju Rakes In The Moolah

In recent times, Dil Raju had banked heavily on two projects: Rojulu Marayi and Shatamanam Bhavati.  Rojulu Marayi turned out to be a dud at the box-office but Shatamanam Bhavati has more than compensated for that.

In fact, so involved was Dil Raju with the latter project that he was present on shoots for the maximum part of the film’s shoot leading to speculation that he may have ghost-directed the movie.

The movie was made on a budget of around Rs 9 crore with rich production values. Barring Nizam and Vizag, the movie was sold for around Rs 11 crore and satellite rights fetched a further Rs 3.37 crore. Thus, even before hitting the silver screens, the movie had made a table profit of Rs 5.37 crore for Raju.

And on the first two days, the movie collected Rs 1.89 crore gross in Nizam and Rs 89 lakh in Vizag, respectively.

Overall, the movie had collected Rs 5.74 crore on the opening two days in Telugu States. It just needs to do well for another few days to become a safe project for the buyers as well.
