A group of producers representing Tollywood requested Andhra Pradesh Government to implement their suggestions regarding theatre exhibition sector in the state.
The producers suggested the government to hike ticket rates marginally in all single theaters. They suggested a hike of Rs 25 to Rs 50.
Our sources inform the government is positive about hike in ticket prices as current rates are low in comparison to neighboring states like Karnataka.
Producers C Kalyan, D Suresh Babu and Damodara Prasad met Ms Anuradha, secretary for Home and Cinematography Ministry at Amaravathi and gave a memorandum regarding this.
They also asked the government to allow fifth show in single screens as Telangana government also is planning to implement it shortly. The fifth show would be allowed to screen a small-budgeted movie.
