Mani Ratnam's Cheliyaa Losing the Craze!

Is Mani Ratnam's much-awaited "Cheliyaa" losing the craze that it has generated with the first teaser and first two songs? Recently theatrical trailer came out and all the audio tracks were released.

But both the new trailer and the remaining songs have failed to trend on the social media.

The first teaser and the songs of "Humsaaro" and "Maimarupaa" were received well prompting huge expectations on the movie. Mani Ratnam generally never goes wrong with love stories.

"Cheliyaa" seems to be more about India-Pakistan border fight than intense love story. So, the theatrical trailer has focussed less on romance.

Starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hyderi, "Cheliyaa" is hitting the screens on 7th April in Tamil and Telugu languages worldwide. The movie is presented by Dil Raju but he is absent at recent promotional event at Park Hyatt in Hyderabad as he is grieving the loss of his wife Anitha.

Karthi has good market in Telugu states and he may start doing promotional activity before the release to create some buzz.

On the other hand, Mani Ratnam will be launching a new movie with Ram Charan in Telugu in the month of July which will also be co-produced by Charan.
