Is Krishna Vamsi Turning into Another RGV?

Krishna Vamsi is a disciple of maverick director Ram Gopal Varma. Though he was an ardent disciple of RGV, he earned a good name for himself and also made distinctively different movies and some of them have attained the status of classics in Telugu movie industry.

Of late, however, he lost his form and craze. Today’s generation is getting to watch only bad films from him. Hence, youth and current movie-goers are not paying attention to his movies.

The dismal openings of his latest movie “Nakshatram” show that he is another RGV in the making, who's films have almost zero openings today.

Despite the presence of big stars like Amitabh Bachchan (‘Sarkar 3’), RGV’s movies are not even showing 20 per cent occupancy on the opening day.

The weekend collections of “Nakshatram” in domestic market are on par with RGV’s recent duds. Moreover, the collections in the US are almost a shame.

The film collected a mere $6000 in three days. “Nakshatram” has notable stars like Sundeep Kishan, Sai Dharam Tej, Regina and Pragya. Still, it got such low numbers.

Normally, even a film with newcomers makes more than $10,000. This shows to what level Krishna Vamsi's graph has fallen.

Looks like Ram Gopal Varma now has company in delivering duds.
