Is Kalyan Ram Happy With Ism?

Kalyan Ram's 'Ism' is ending its first week run today and the movie is estimated to have collected a share of Rs 9 Cr as of now.

This is a huge amount for Kalyan Ram in the first week given the content of the movie is said to be average. “Ism” left him in mixed feelings.

As a star and actor he is said to be content with the movie’s performance but as a producer he is sulking.

The movie was produced on his home banner NTR Arts and it cost him more than Rs 26 Cr to make it.

Puri Jagannadh’s huge remuneration and high production costs made the budget go beyond Kalyan Ram’s market. But Kalyan Ram did this film knowingly that it was going to be costly affair. He expected that the movie would help increase his market range.

Due to brand name of Puri Jagannadh and other factors, the film took bumper openings. It collected Rs 6 Cr in its opening weekend but there after it is not progressing further.

Trade pundits say the movie will leave Kalyan Ram in deep losses as its full run won’t be crossing Rs 15 Cr. The money from satellite rights is a relief to Kalyan Ram.

So the star is not happy with the box-office performance but he is enjoying as the star of this film for his makeover and new style with body language.
