DJ Controversy Flares Up Again

Duvvada Jagannadham has been in news for all the wrong reasons. The Allu Arjun-starrer had created quite a controversy when the makers and fans of Allu Arjun claimed that the film collected Rs 100 crore in the first week of its release.

At the time, it was said that the film's unit was trying to compare the film with Chiranjeevi's film. In fact, it looked like the team was indirectly hinting that their film made more than megastar Chiranjeevi's film.

The controversy flared up and apart from collections, there was a huge discussion about whether DJ was a hit or a flop.

At one point in time, the situation went to an extent where producer Dil Raju, director Harish Shankar and hero Allu Arjun were forced to give clarifications about their earlier statements.

Finally, the controversy died down and there was silence from all quarters. But once again, some people close to Bunny are trying to project DJ as a huge success.

Recently, DJ was released in Malayalam as Dhruvaraja Jagganath. Talk is that the Malayalee version has managed to make Rs 1.7 crore in the first weekend.

So, the group has been claiming that the film's world-wide collections have crossed Rs 130 crore. Their claims have once again given rise to discussions on social media.

But this time, both Dil Raju and Harish Shankar are staying away from the controversy.
