Disaster: Never Mess With An SS Rajamouli Film!

It is pretty clear that the premise of Bollywood film Raabta was inspired by Tollywood blockbuster Magadheera, an SS Rajamouli film.

Makers of Magadheera filed a case against Raabta makers for plagiarism. The issue has been settled out of court that ensured a smooth release of Raabta on Friday.

Raabta director Dinesh Vijan took the basic theme of Magadheera of mixing two different worlds into one and uniting two lovers through reincarnation.

Apparently, he didn’t want to copy entire movie and has written a whole different screenplay without lifting the iconic 100 men fight from the original. But his experiment has gone awfully wrong as critics are having a field day in panning Raabta.

The movie received 1 star reviews from all the notable critics who didn’t spare anyone that is associated with the film. Clumsy screenplay and pointless direction made Raabta a laughing stock.

Director Dinesh should have officially bought Magadheera remake rights rather than messing up an SS Rajamouli’s screenplay.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s previous film M.S. Dhoni was a smash hit at the box office. His Raabta put up a dismal show on its first day with a meager Rs. 5.61 crore nett from Indian box office.

In comparison, Dhoni’s first day numbers were nearly four times to that of Raabta. It will be tough for the ambitious movie to survive in the coming days with negative word-of-mouth.
