Bollywood Rights Of '2.0' Sold For Rs 80 Cr?

Once the 'Baahubali' frenzy settles down, director Shankar is all set to own 2018 with his magnum opus ‘2.0’.

Starring Rajinikanth in lead role and Akshay Kumar as the antagonist, the film is touted to be one of the biggest films in the history of Indian cinema and is expected to match up to SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’. 

Interestingly, the film’s Hindi theatrical rights have reportedly been sold for a whopping Rs 80 crore, while its satellite rights have been sold at an exorbitant amount of Rs 110 crore.

A sequel to Robot, the film also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain.

Tipped to be the most expensive Indian film ever being made on a budget of Rs 350 crore, 2.o is slated for release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi next year in a record number of screens worldwide.
