Bengal Tiger Struggling To Break Even

Raviteja's Bengal Tiger had a strong start at the ticket window and it looked like it would be a cakewalk for the buyers to breakeven even if the collections dip.

Bengal Tiger didn’t do well during the weekdays but the buyers expected to get decent shares during this weekend as there was no other notable release in Telugu except for Loafer.

Trade has underestimated Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani but to everyone’s surprise Dilwale took a flying start in the Telugu states. Bajirao had an average opening on day one but the collections have seen a significant rise on its second day.

New release Loafer is attracting the masses for the moment. Bengal Tiger is struggling to go past that breakeven mark with this unexpected competition from Bolly films.

For example, Bengal Tiger collected just ninety thousand rupees share in Krishna District on Saturday. The film has crossed 1 crore mark by its sixth day and thereafter collected mere 4 lakh rupees share in four days. This film needs to collect another 25 lacs in this area to breakeven and that looks almost impossible now.

Same is the case with other areas in Andhra region. Uttarandhra buyer is going to lose large chunk of his investment as the film is doing pretty bad over there. Except for Nizam all other buyers will lose a percentage of their investment is the latest update from the trade.

So the bad time continues for masala movies at the Telugu box office.
