No Post-Release Publicity For S/O Satyamurthy

No Post-Release Publicity For S/O Satyamurthy

The industry talk is that S/O Satyamurthy failed in its post-release publicity which is equally important for any film along with pre-release promotions.

One week into the release of the movie, trade sources hint at Vizag area buyers losing Rs 2 crore and West Godavari buyers losing Rs 50 lakh.

While the movie released on Thursday, Trivikram Srinivas gave an interview on Saturday within two days in which he said that the fate of the movie couldn’t be ascertained until reports of Monday collections came in.

Naturally, this statement sent out wrong signals to the public. The hero, heroine and director gave interviews only prior to the release of the film and neglected the post-release publicity.

There was talk of a success meet on April 18th at Shilpakala Vedika is now cancelled.

But industry sources say that neither the PR Management company nor the unit is to be blamed for this state of affairs.

Apparently, a person close to Trivikram looked after the publicity section and it is this very person who also handled ‘Julayi’.

Had the important job of publicity been left to the professionals without interference from anyone else, S/O Satyamurthy would have been definitely better off.
