Venkatesh has become choosy with his films of late. He has taken so much time before signing up a movie under Maruthi’s direction.
Venkatesh took a very big break after Gopala Gopala waiting for the right script to do a film as the solo lead. Finally Maruthi came up with Babu Bangaram script that got an instant nod from the veteran.
Venkatesh and Maruthi have planned to complete this film by March end so that they could release at the right time during summer. However the filming of this film is not going as per planned because of Nayanatara.
She was supposed to join Babu Bangaram sets from the February, but she couldn’t as she was caught up with other commitments in Kollywood.
Maruthi has completed rest of the shoot except for the portions involving Nayanatara and Babu Bangaram filming came to a halt because of her. They have paid a bomb for Nayanatara who has been ruling the roost in Tamil cinema.
Despite the hefty paycheck, Nayanatara isn’t honoring the dates as per the commitment. Babu Bangaram release might be delayed if Nayanatara fails to join the shoot in next few days.
