Film industry is based on demand and supply like any other industry. When there is demand, rates go high or else the rates come really down.
It’s just that the person in the business has to know when to play according to the market.
Now, having been in the industry for quite some time, Bandla Ganesh knows this only too well.
When situation demands, he can shell out Rs 10 crores and when things go wrong, he can play his cards well.
Recently, he did the same with the NTR-Puri film. He created little of bit of tension by dilly-dallying about starting the film and got both Puri and NTR to cut down on their rates.
Incidentally, Ganesh lost heavily due to Baadshah and Iddarammyilatho. It is said that NTR and Puri have come down by Rs 5 crore which is no small feat.
