The unusual combination of Puri Jagannadh and Kalyan Ram, and the hype around the film has helped “Ism” to take bumper opening on the first day.
The film has collected about Rs 2.75 Cr (share) in AP and Telangana. From Nizam area itself it received stunning Rs 1.09 Cr.
In USA, the movie’s premiere amount is about $44k, which is highest in Kalyan Ram’s career. Kalyan Ram going for complete transformation and acquiring 6-pack body, and the brand Puri Jagannadh have created a right promotional buzz around it. So, the collections on day one are superb.
But reviews and word of mouth is not encouraging. Let’s see how this film would fare over the weekend. The film was released with a deficit.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, “Ism” starred Kalyan Ram, Aditi Arya and Jagapathi Babu in the lead roles. Kalyan Ram is the producer of the movie.
