DJ Goes Down In Week One Post Ramzan

Duvvada Jagannatham starring stylish star Allu Arjun proved its power with big opening collections. Since the planning of its release was done meticulously on par with big budget films, DJ managed to get excellent openings.

However, the film evoked a divided talk and absolutely lacked repeat value, the collections of DJ showed downtrend after the Ramzan festival.

Especially on Wednesday and Thursday, the collections dropped substantially; and so, whatever it will get during the weekend will only be a bonus. Luckily for DJ, there is not even a single film worth mentioning lined up for release this week.

DJ, however, was a disaster overseas. To boost up the collections, the DJ team left for the US tour. Its final range would be decided depending on the collections it would make in the second week end.

With the collections of DJ dropped substantially during the week days and there is no other good film set for release, the market is a little worried.

Business circles are hopeful that “Ninnu Kori” starring Nani being released next week would fill the void at least in A centres.

There are quite a few films set for release in July and August, but majority of the big-ticket films won’t be ready till September. During this period, at least two or three medium budget films should become big hits to sustain the market.
