Box Office: Fourth 30 Crore+ Day In A Row

This has never happened before. However, Salman Khan's Sultan has re-written history, what with more than Rs. 30 crores coming in for fourth day in succession.

After Wednesday [Rs. 36.54 crores], Thursday [Rs. 37.30 crores] and Friday [Rs. 31.50 crores], now Saturday was phenomenal too for the Ali Abbas Zafar directed film as it brought in Rs. 37.10 crores more.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh spoke about the detailed figures when he tweeted, “#Sultan is UNSTOPPABLE… Setting new BENCHMARKS… Wed 36.54 cr, Thu 37.32 cr, Fri 31.66 cr, Sat 37.10 cr. Total: Rs 142.62 cr. India biz.”

Sultan had already broken quite a few records and with this HUGE figure, it has broken a few more records. It has now become highest opening weekend grosser and that too with a day to spare. And it overtook the collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan by quite a margin (Rs 129.77 crore). 

With the film's collections standing at Rs. 142.62 crores, it is now already 2016's biggest Bollywood grosser after surpassing Airlift [Rs. 129 crores] and Housefull 3 [Rs. 109 crores].
