Behind The Scene: TD turncoat, real culprit in Cong loss!
Contractor-cum-Congress
MLA from Surveypalli Adala Prabhakar Reddy, who had shifted
his loyalties from Telugu Desam to the Congress before the
2004 Assembly elections is said to be the brain behind the
crossvoting in favour of independent candidate B Raghavendra
Reddy in the recent MLC elections under local bodies quota
in Nellore district, resulting in the defeat of Congress official
candidate C V Sesha Reddy.
An inquiry conducted by former
minister and veteran Congress leader Purushottam Rao has revealed
that Adala had joined hands with the Desam leaders in the
district using his old connections and ensured the defeat
of Sesha Reddy, a close associate of former Chief Minister
Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy. Along with Adala, the names of
Udayagiri legislator Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy and Kavali
MLA Magunta Parvathamma are also being suspected for the sabotage
of the Congress party.
Some party functionaries complained
against Anam brothers, Anam Vivekananda Reddy and Anam Ramanaryana
Reddy, stating that they have not worked to their full potential.
