Fact Sheet: Now, it separate Andhra stir by BJP!
The
State unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, which has been focussing
on separate Telangana issue for the last few months, has realised
that the movement for separate Andhra is also fast gaining
momentum, thanks to the initiative taken by the Congress leaders
from coastal Andhra led by Ch Harirama Jogaiah.
The BJP has also felt that
if it is confined to just Telangana, it would lose whatever
little presence it has in the coastal Andhra. So, it has decided
to organise a meet to chalk out action plan to take up "Andhra
Udyamam" with the participation of its leaders from the
coastal districts from Nellore to Srikakulam in the city at
Anam Kala Kendram on May 13.
The party leaders say they
would organise awareness programme at district, mandal levels
and municipalities on the importance of developing Andhra
on the lines of United States of America given the multitude
of natural resources in the state. The awareness programmes
will be held from May 17 to June 15 at district level and
between June and August at municipalities and from September
to October at mandal head quarters. A mammoth rally will be
held in Vijayawada during December, BJP leaders say.
