Behind The Scene: KCR's political drama!
Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and former Union Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is back to his political game. After maintaining a lull of nearly six months on TRS-Congress-Telangana statements, KCR has come out with a sensational disclosure the other day that the Central leadership of the Congress has invited him for talks on separate Telangana.
KCR is known for making such sensational but politically insensible statements whenever he feels that he is losing grip over the party. Since he had been at the helm of affairs for the past six months, he did not come out with such sensational remarks. Now that his second in command A Narendra has been placed under suspension and a couple of party legislators/MPs facing accusations of human smuggling, KCR wants to divert public attention from the "scandalous" Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
And what is the best political game up his sleeves to play with and divert the attention of gullible people of this backward region? Talk of separate Telangana once again and divert the public attention from scandalous TRS to standard demand of separate Telangana State.
But what KCR has forgotten is to think, why would the Congress Central leadership invite him for talks on Telangana, when the UPA is sitting pretty? Moreover, even if the UPA is in danger, the Congress would never allow the credit of carving out a separate Telangana State to go to KCR. Congress is not a naïve political party and its leadership is strong enough to sidetrack and gulp sub-regional parties like Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
If KCR believes that he can fool the poor people of Telangana and other parts of the State by his so-called sensational statements, he is wrong. He has already cried "wolf" a hundred times and the people have seen through his "lies". Any talk of Telangana by KCR will now be taken with a pinch of salt.
