Behind The Scene: Jagan didn't spare even YSR friend!
As expected, Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy's son Jaganmohan Reddy has bagged the bid for 437 acres of government land for setting up of Raghuram Cement Factory at Yerraguntla in Kadapa district.
It was no surprise, as everybody knows nobody would dare to participate in the auction against Jagan's wishes. But what is unknown to most of the people is that Jagan had forcibly prevented PCC treasurer and YSR's close friend Pratap Reddy of Penna Cements from taking over the Cement factory, which originally belongs to Telugu Desam MP Ramachandraiah.
Sources say Jagan had virtually threatened Pratap Reddy against entering Kadapa district and asked him to backout from his plan to set up the Cement industry. Pratap Reddy brought it to the notice of the Chief Minister, but the latter bluntly told him to obey his son. Having no other option, Pratap Reddy backed out from the project. YSR, however, pacified him and promised to consider his nomination to Rajya Sabha next year.
