Fact Sheet: TRS to disappear after 2009!

Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which has created a sensation in the State politics, will disappear after the 2009 elections, political pundits in the State are predictng.

The main cause for this kind of situation would be none other than TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is running the party like his personal property. It is not just A Narendra, but almost every MLA and leader in the party is feeling suffocated because of his arrogant behaviour, but they are keeping quiet only because there are positive signs of formation of Telangana sooner or later.

According to the political predictions, the UPA will be forced to take a decision on forming the Telangana State, but it would definitely not give the advantage for the TRS. By 2009, almost all major leaders in the TRS would desert KCR and join either the Congress or the BJP, depending on the political situation at that time. The intellectuals and artistes, who have hitherto been supporting the TRS will form an alternative forum which would play a major role in bringing pressure on the UPA to grant Telangana. Under such a situation, KCR would be forced to disband the TRS and merge it with the Congress. The TRS leaders are not ruling out such a situation, but are hopeful that wisdom would dawn upon him to keep the identity of the party by running it in a democratic way.
