Behind The Scene: Loudmouthed Gone goes into oblivion!
When did we hear last from the loud-mouthed Gone Prakash Rao, former chairman of AP State Road Transport Corporation and a close associate of K V P Ramachandra Rao, advisor to the Chief Minister?
Prakash Rao, who used to be a nuisance character not only for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders but also to the media for his foul mouth character, suddenly disappeared from the scene after the byelections to Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat in December last. In fact, he was leading the publicity campaign for the Congress candidate in Karimnagar and reports say he had serious differences with K Sudhakar Rao, a known Congressman and later made Commisisoner of Right to Information. Remember Sudhakar Rao involved in "cricket kits" case during the Karimnagar byelections? The differences were with regard to sharing of booty in the elections and Prakash Rao openly abused Sudhakar Rao in the presence of media for cheating him.
He later expected that the Chief Minister would consider his name for the MLC seat either under the local bodies quota or the MLAs' quota. But he could not get either. A frustrated Prakash Rao is learnt to have left for the US trip for a few months!
