Bhavana is yet another import from Mollywood. She follows actresses like Asin, Priyamani, Gopika, Meera Jasmine, Nayanatara etc. to Tollywood. Bhavana does not have too many films at home and she has decided to try her luck in Telugu and Tamil films.

Bhavana's first film in Telugu was with Gopichand in 'Ontari'. The film did not exactly set the box office on fire. Bhavana's performance was noticed but she is yet to bag meaty roles.
 
Bhavana came up with a controversial statement recently. She said that the film industry in Kerala is not very helpful towards heroines. The situation is quite bad, particularly for the young new heroines. Hence artists like her were moving out to Tollywood and Kollywood.
 
Bhavana said that she has no plans to return to Mollywood and wants to prove herself in Tollywood. Her statement has created a big stir in Mollywood and many producers are now up in arms against her. They say that Bhavana is unnecessarily defaming them.
