Saakshi the new Telugu news daily from AP launched by the chief Minister's son Jagan Mohan Reddy is run away success. It is already giving a tough time to the top rung Telugu dailies that is Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi.  ‘Sakshi’ which is yet to complete a month has reached 13 lakhs circulation, according to sources.  The paper’s circulation in the Hyderabad city itself is 4.26 lakh-It is equal to ‘Andhra Jyothy’ entire circulation.

The heads of Eenadu are breaking their heads to how to tackle the situation.  Eenadu is facing a big threat particularly in Hyderabad from Saakshi. Now-a-days Eenadu is also forced to take back the returns as it never accepted earlier.

Market experts are saying that what ever content may be the price of the newspaper Rs 2 for Saakshi made all the difference. Eenadu has to do something to face the tough competition from ‘Sakshi’. On the other hand the top gun in the Ad industry Venkat who was also the director of Eenadu resigned recently, then the advertisement revenue will also become less for Eenadu. Saakshi is already looking to rope in Venkat with a huge package it is reported.
