Though the victory of TRS candidates in all the 11 seats it contested was a foregone conclusion, the kind of victory margins they got made everybody surprising and shocking.
TRS candidate in Siddipet T Harish Rao, nephew of party president K Chandrasekhara Rao, has created a record of sorts in the AP’s election history by winning the seat with a margin of almost 96,000 votes, thereby breaking the earlier record margin of 68,000 votes of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in Pulivendula in Kadapa district in 2009, Then, also, Harish got a majority of 64,000 votes; much higher than the majority got by KCR in Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha constituency.
In Dharmapuri, too, TRS candidate Koppula Eshwar also got a majority of more than 58,00 votes which was unprecedented in the constituency. In all other constituencies, the TRS is displaying record majorities. Only in Sirpur and Siricilla constituencies, the victory margins are comparatively less, as of now.
