She was in the city for the shoot of the film Mutthirai at the Gaiety theatre which is now a make-shift studio floor for the film produced by Aneez and Vikram Bhatt. The bindaas actress known for her straight-forward opinions, spoke about her obsession with Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth, recent split up with beau Abhishek and entering politics etc.,

I was a newcomer then. It was the first time that I was offered a South Indian movie. Kamalji specifically wanted me for the song. Censors were scared that people might feel that my song would be too provocative if they passed it, so they chopped it instead. They don’t like Mumbai girls, I guess.
On dancing with Kamal Haasan
(Laughs) Oh! What a great actor he is. He is a cool guy and I love him so much!
On the recent Mumbai terror attacks
(Jumps from the chair) Had they airdropped me from a helicopter in their rescue operation, I would have danced in skimpy clothes and seduced all the terrorist inside and would have killed them one-by-one. I know, eventually they will also kill me, but I do not mind dying for my country.
On managing to stay in limelight always
I don’t talk just to get publicity. I say everything from bottom of my heart. I speak only the truth and truth is sometimes bitter! I will remain like this come what may. And I don’t care about those who talk ill of me.
Her craze for Rajinikanth
Oh! I adore him and wish I could marry him if he permits. He is a charming person. Though he has got grown up daughters, he still looks so young, handsome and stylish in his movies.
So you have shifted interest from marrying Salman to Rajini?
No no! Salman is different. This is more of a ‘contract marriage’ for one or two years maybe more.
About her ‘split up gimmick’ with beau Abhishek
It’s over. It’s a permanent separation. I gave him three chances. Enough is enough! If he claims that he was my pillar of strength for all these years, it’s utter nonsense! It’s actually the other way around. I do not want to marry him. As of now, I want to concentrate only on my work.
On rumours about doing plastic surgery on face
(Moves closer) Look at me. God has given me such a beautiful face and why would I mess with it? I have lost 10 kilos and am now 45 kilos after hardcore dieting. Probably, because of that my cheeks have slightly sunk. Moreover, being an outspoken person why would I have to hide it even if I had done it?
On being termed ‘pricey’
If any producer wants Rakhi for his film, they have to pay the price. What’s wrong in being pricey? I know my worth. After all, I am working so hard to make good money.
On being Khans’ favourite
All Khans — Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan like me. And if you ask me why they don’t give me a chance in their films, I can’t answer for various reasons.
On entering politics
I don’t mind entering politics, provided a good party calls me to join them. If they are not genuine, then I will give them a taste of their own medicine.
On competition
Whether good or bad I don’t know, but I am an overconfident person. I am never insecure about anything in life.
Being surrounded by bodyguards
I have to protect myself right? My ten bodyguards always follow me like a shadow wherever I go — be it for public functions or stage shows and what have you.
Future projects
In Hindi, I am more into TV. I am doing reality shows on television. I love to do such shows. I am also working in four big banners including that of Subhash Ghai, Shathrugan Sinha and Yashraj.
Your ambition
According to me commandos and border soldiers are the real heroes. One day, I want to dance for them and make them happy.
