On June 1st, 2015 around 100 Telangana NRIs living in Greater Toronto Area assembled at Pearl Banquet and Convention Centre in Mississauga city under the banner of Telangana Development Forum (TDF), Canada to celebrate the 1st anniversary of Telangana state formation.
The event started off by lamp lighting and paying tributes to those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of statehood achievement followed by cake cutting ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, NRIs have reiterated their commitment towards building ‘Bangaru Telangana’ and also to enrich Telangana culture and traditions in Canada.
A brain storming session was also held on how to link several investment firms, universities etc...with government of Telangana Organizers extended vote of thanks to all the participants.
Established in 2005, TDF, Canada is a federally registered not-for-profit organization formed by the Telangana Non Resident Indians (T NRIs) living in Canada to preserve the cultural identity and contribute to its development.
TDF, Canada is formed to provide a dais for literary, cultural, educational, social and developmental activities in Canada and as well as in the state of Telangana, India.
