Philadelphia: They may be splinter groups, but various Telugu organizations overseas, particularly in North America serve not just their language, ethos and culture, but also the interests of their brethren here and thousands of miles away in their homeland. Each year, National conventions held in America by consortia like American Telugu Association (ATA), Telugu Association of North America (TANA), North American Telugu Association (NATA), North American Telugu Society (NATS), Telangana Development Forum (TDF) so on and so forth throw ample opportunities for Telugu people to come, speak their minds, share the ideas and collaborate for regarding developmental activities in their region.

Against this backdrop, the ATA National Convention recently held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, provided the right space and setting for the newly-elected TDF executive committee to gather and galvanize.
