TATA Holds Sports Day and Picnic

Telangana American Telugu Association, US has conducted sports and picnic on 12th July 2015 at Bicentinnial Park, East Brunswick, New Jersey.

The event was great success with about 500 NRIs of two states (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) attending the event.

With the founders vision and endeavor to work for  the welfare of Telugu people with particular focus on Telangana region, by promoting the language, art and culture, Telangana American Association ably guided by Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy, has been conducting various activities and been serving the community since its inception.

Either celebrating Telangana formation day or donating towards Mission Kakatiya the Telangana American Telugu association has been in forefront. As a community health and awareness program the sports and Picnic day was organized to a great success.  

The games conducted were Volleyball, Cricket, Tennis, Badminton singles and doubles. The event was started at 8 AM and ended at 7 PM with prize distribution to winners & runners. 

Volleyball:  Winners: NJ Indians, Runners: NBTA
Cricket Winners: Team Knights, Runners: Bridgewaters
Badminton: Singles 1st place: Prashanth, 2nd place: Shravan; Doubles winners: Sachin & Suresh, Runners: Prashanth & Sindhu
Tennis: Singles 1st place: Jagan, 2nd place: Vishnu

Participation certificates were given to all participants, by core members of Telangana American Telugu Association, Mahender Musuku, Dr. Mohan Patlola, Ramesh Chandra, Santosh Pathuri and organizing team.

The event is organized by Telangana American Telugu Association members, Dr. Rama Malladi, Sudheer Kumar Miryala, Prashanth Vemuganti, Baswaraj Tammaly, Srinivas Pathuri. Vijay Vaidyula, Sidhu Yalala, Varun Vemuganti, Ravi Peddi and Prashanth Chintawar. The event was very successful and the players and general public were served breakfast, delicious lunch from Mirchi Restaurant and evening snacks. The highlight is Challa (Majjiga).

This event is sponsored by Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy Garu, Telangana American Telugu Association founder.

Dr. Reddy is the prominent South Asian American entrepreneur, who hails from Telangana State. Under his guidance The Telangana American Telugu Association is committed to conduct sports and games every year. Many thanks to Dr. Reddy Garu for making the grand successful event happen in NJ USA. Many thanks to all team captains, players and referees who conducted all games in professionally and sportive atmosphere. Thanks to Telangana American Telugu Association volunteers, families and kids relentlessly worked hard to make the event a great success.
