Till sometime back, the age old Eenadu newspaper found a strong threat in the form of Sakshi newspaper and in no time, Sakshi overtook Eenadu and took the number one spot. However, the latest news is that Sakshi has fallen back again and Eenadu has regained its position.
Sources say the reason for this drop is due to the overdose of Odharpu Yatra. Literally, every page of the Sakshi newspaper is talking about Y S Jagan’s ‘Odharpu Yatra’ which is testing the patience of the readers. Things were really good when YSR was there and the news was balanced.
But it is heard that due to Jagan’s pushing philosophy, Sakshi is now having a readership of 12 lakhs while Eenadu is having a 1 lakh difference with 13 lakh readers. The observers say that it is better the Sakshi team takes few important measures before the gap widens otherwise an ‘Odharpu’ will be needed for Sakshi.
