NATS donated 25 thousand dollars to Laxman Dusa

NATS donated 25 thousand dollars to Laxman Dusa

After hearing about the heart touching news of Laxman Dusa, who is suffering from "Locked-in syndrome", NATS came forward to help him.

NATS donated 25 thousand dollars to Laxman's wife Madhuri in New York. A team of NATS Board of Directors, NATS Executive Committee, Doctors and Pharmacists visited Laxman Dusa and assured that they would continue to provide further help to Laxman until he is back on track.

For people who are not familiar with Laxman's sad story, on December 9th 2010, 33 years old Laxman Dusa suffered a major stroke in his brain stem due to a blood clot in the pons area. The stroke has left him badly paralyzed. He is suffering from an extremely rare and debilitating condition known as '"locked-in syndrome". Laxman cannot move, cannot speak, cannot swallow food and is fighting to keep his dignity. Otherwise, the stroke has cruelly spared virtually all of Laxman's conscious and unconscious processing systems. His memory, his reason, and his emotions are all intact. He can see, hear and feel emotions - and feel pain - but he has no way of communicating except by moving his eyelids up-and-down. He is an active mind trapped inside an unresponsive body.

NATS is going to provide required medical equipment and pharmaceutical help to Laxman Dusa.

Dr.Madhu Korrapati (Nephrologist), Dr.Jaggarao Alluri (Neurologist), Dr. Vineet Korrapati (Gastroenterologist) reviewed the medical condition of Laxman and assured that they are going to constantly monitor the health condition of Laxman going forward.

Sreedhar Appasani and Srinivas Maddali presented the check of $25,000.00 dollars on behalf of NATS.

NATS Team comprising of Dr.Madhu Korrapati, Gangadhar Desu, Mohana Krishna Mannava, Srinivas Maddali, Sreedhar Appasani, Dr.Jaggarao Alluri, Dr.Vineet Korrapati, Raj Allada, Murali Medicherla, Aravind Maddineni etc visited Laxman and assured continuous help to Laxman.
