Nara Lokesh Receives Huge Response In NJ

A rally of 60 cars lead Nara Lokesh to the Edison hotel where a huge meeting was organized by the followers & well-wishers of NRI TDP in New Jersey.

Mr Jay Talluri welcomed the gathering and described the prodigy of Nara Lokesh as the grandson of NTR, son of Chandrababu Naidu and son-in-law of Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Mr Brahmaji Veliveti spoke about the necessity and importance of village adoption from his own experience of having adopted his village 14 years ago under the Janma Bhoomi programme initiated by Chandra Babu Naidu.

Chinavadlapudi near Mangalagti, which was then a remote small village with hardly any facilities, is flourishing today with tar roads connecting to all major towns, 100% compliance in terms of toilets and even the land rates have gone up.

Taking the examples of Sriharikota and Abdul Kalam, Janma Bhoomi and Chandra Babu Naidu, Mr Brahmaji mentioned that just like how some institutions and concepts have seen the role of specific individuals in their spread and success, Nara Lokesh would be the brand ambassador of the “Adopt a Village” programme. He even envisioned Nara Lokesh to become the champion of Village Empowerment in India.

Mr Brahmaji also suggested the state of Andhra Pradesh should have an NRI Bhavan with meeting halls and service centers as a one-stop-shop for all NRIs. If the Govt of AP can provide land, he volunteered to take up the responsibility of raising 1 million USD for the purpose including a donation of 100,000 USD.

Mr Mohan Krishna Mannava said that in the world, TDP is the only party having done group insurance to its 55 lakh volunteers.

Mr. Mohan Nannappaneni, President of TANA, described that TANA Foundation has spent nearly 300 crores over the last 35 years in serving the mother land. He also pledged that TANA would take up th adoption of 100 villages.

On a similar note, Mr. Madhu Korrapati Vice President of NATS congratulated Nara Lokesh and assured adoption of 100 villages from NATS.

Amidst thumping cheers and applause, Nara Lokesh thanked all the NRIs for their time and efforts. He said that in top 10 IT  companies Telugus are in top 10 positions now because visionery Chandra babu started creating engineering talent in AP two decades back.

Now, Chandra Babu Naidu has a clear and long vision that the State of Andhra Pradesh should be among the top 3 states of India by 2022, top most state by 2029 and not lastingly the best state of Southeast Asia by 2050.

To achieve this, Chandra Babu Naidu felt that all villages must be developed as smart villages and all public must be actively involved and the “Smart Village – Smart Ward” programme was launched for this purpose and made a detailed presentation.

After a brief Q&A session with Lokesh, Bramaji finally concluded that a total of 780 NRIs have come forward for village adoption thanks to the motivation by all the leaders across associations.

Now, taking a cue from the words of Nara Lokesh, more individuals are expressing interest and that New Jersey alone would be adopting 1000 villages.
