My Bedroom Issues Are Not For Discussion: Sania Mirza

Mumbai: Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza is not known to mince words and she is pretty straight forward when it comes to handling questions from media.

Her on-court performance has been appreciated by all and she is known to handle media with utmost precision.

In an interview to BBC, Sania spoke about her pain of being a woman in a 'man's world' and requested all not to procure details about her family planning.

She says by being a woman, she has to fight a lot harder and says the issue is the same world-wide. It's not just about India, said Sania while giving an interview as a part of BBC's 100 Women Series.

Though she has made her stance clear about her personal life, she is often asked about children and that feels like a slap on the face, says Sania.

She says she finds it extremely disrespectful for someone to ask this question and says that her bedroom issues should not be discussed in media.

Sania has had a dream run in the women's doubles category in 2015 and with 10 titles including the recent WTS $7 million title she won in Singapore, she has already established her supremacy along with her Swiss partner Martina Hingis. It was the pair's 9th title this season and she has won her titles in Beijing, Guangzhou, US Open, Wimbledon, Charleston, Miami and Indian Wells.

As of now, Sania is one of the highest paid athletes in the sub-continent and she has is now hoping to win a gold medal in the upcoming 2016 Rio Olympics.
