One of the major reasons for the landslide victory of the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections was the overwhelming support from the educated, middle-class youth.
Thanks to the biased reporting of incidents in the media, the perception grew among the youth where they felt that their very identity as a Hindu was being questioned, where they were made to feel ashamed for being a Hindu.
The coverage of vents has been such that if a Muslim or Christian speaks about fundamental rights or conversions, it is perfectly normal and they were just being Indian; but if a Hindu says something, then it is automatically communal.
The mainstream media is definitely responsible for the loss of prestige of the Hindus as a whole thanks to their duplicity.
Consider this: Ever since the BJP government has come to power, the media has been carrying front page headlines of attacks on churches and vandalism.
For the record, five Catholic churches, including a school in Delhi were reportedly attacked by Hindus. At St. Alphonsa’s Church, the front door was broken, ceremonial vessels were missing, and communion wafers were scattered about. The Police found no evidence to prove the attacks were communal.
Now digest this: Between 2012 and 2015, thieves have broken into 325 temples, 19 mosques, nine Churches and 54 gurdwaras. The massacre of Sikhs in 1984 took place during the Congress regime which is a ‘secular party’ whereas Modi is still questioned for ‘Gujarat riots’.
After the attack on the 71 year old nun in Kolkata recently, anti-BJP frenzy gripped secular India. The rapists were caught. The first one arrested was Sikandar Shaikh. He is part of a gang that stole Rs 12 lakh and destroyed a chapel in the convent. What happened to the over-active media now? Why have they gone silent? Is it ok for Muslims to attack Christians?
No wonder that pseudo-seculars like Rajdeep Sardesai were treated with disdain by the Indians at Madison Square in the US. The Indians residing there are aware of how these media persons (agents of Congress) are destroying the image of the country.
