After Dhirubai Ambani passed away, his sons fought a bitter battle over division of assets. Even today, the general perception is that the younger son, Anil got a raw deal in the settlement that was finally negotiated.
A similar story is being played out in Tollywood. The two sons of a Tollywood biggie who passed away recently, are said to be at loggerheads in the division of assets.
The assets are said to be more than a thousand crore rupees in value and till the time of the father’s death, it was the elder son who was looking after all the affairs.
And since the entire company was being run as a private limited, there were no problems. But following the old man’s passing away, the younger son is apparently keen on getting his share of the property and starting his own movie banner.
The allegation against the elder son is that he has kept the better properties for himself and friction has resulted between the two because of this. Also, given the nature of the deceased Tollywood biggie, it is hard to believe that he died intestate.
