ATA team calls on Ambassador Dr. Ausaf Sayeed

American Telugu Association [ATA] in gearing up towards the silver jubilee celebrations in Chicago has called on Ambassador Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Consul General of India to formally invite him to serve as the honored guest and a key note speaker at 3-day ATA Convention to be held on July 1-3 in Rosemont, Illinois.

Ambassador Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Consul General of India expressed enthusiastic interest in participating in the ATA convention and assured ATA leaders that he looks forward to the grand silver jubilee celebrations which he said augurs well in fostering brotherhood and a sense of oneness among the Indian American community.

Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Consul General said that this convention will help celebrate and perpetuate the rich Telugu culture and he went on to assure the assistance of the office of the Consulate General of India.

Chandrasekhar Reddy Palvai, Convention Convener presenting the letter of invitation appraised Ambassador Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Consul General of the industrious efforts being undertaken to host one of the most awaited ATA Convention which he said is poised to bring in  an unprecedented attendance of Telugus from all across the globe including India.

Krishna Mushyam, Convention Co-Convener reiterated the incredible responses being received from all across with a sense of anticipation to attend the ATA Convention.

Iftekhar Shareef, Convention Reception Chair joined the group to appraise the ambassador of the large number of VIPs,  dignitaries and celebrities attending the convention including Chicago’s leading elected officials.

Keerthi Kumar Ravoori, Convention Media Chair has added that a huge contingent of media press corps is expected to descend in Chicago for the convention as this is the first time that the convention is evoking much larger interest among the burgeoning Telugu communities in America.

Among those who met Ambassador Dr. Sayeed include Dr. Meher Medhavaram, Chalma Reddy, Sunitha Hanumanth Reddy, Mahidhar Reddy, Satyam Reddy, Dinakar Karumuri, Suresh Reddy, Jaydev Mettupalli, Radhakrishna Reddy, Sainath Reddy, Bhanu Swargam, Vikram Reddy, Venkat Thudi and Dr. Shyam Puppala

In another development, American Telugu Association continued its Convention Registration Drive in partnership with Telugu Sangham in Quad City region covering Iowa and Illinois. This registration drive drew large number of families demonstrably showing ardent desire by actively registering for the convention.

The drive was held by the ATA team that included Malla Reddy, Krishna Rangaraju, Ramesh Kammala, Naveen Manyam, and Srinivasa Reddy Bommineni.  

ATA team thanked the Quad City Telugu Sangham for hosting an energized registration drive and the Ugadi celebrations; and added that there will be sizeable representation of Telugu families from Quad City at the silver jubilee convention.
