ATA organizing 5k run in Washington DC area

American Telugu Association(ATA) – Washington, DC chapter is hosting a 5k Run/Walk on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Fairfax Corner Center, VA.

Proceeds from the event will go to support the ATA Emergency Fund and Mathrubhoomi Charitable Trust, helping orphan kids in Warangal, India.

There will be race awards for different age groups and each participant will receive a free T-shirt, water and Food. There is plenty of free parking in and around the Fairfax Corner Center. The start/finish line is next to the center plaza.

The primary purpose of the American Telugu Association (ATA) is to assist and promote literacy, cultural, educational, social, economic, health, charity and community activities of the people of Telugu origin as well as to promote exchange programs for students, scientists and professionals of Telugu origin between the United States of America, Canada and India and other countries.

Please come out and join us for a great day of fun, food, dancing, and running/walking!
